Second Annual Festival of American Music

I had the great opportunity of sharing the story behind our Festival of American Music with NewMusicBox.org this week. The concept is to host a yearly festival that celebrates art from this country and connects with the incredible story of the Louisville Orchestra that has developed over the last half a century. The Festival of American Music centers on living composers from this country—as well as around styles of music that you might not necessarily expect a symphony orchestra to play—and that create a spirit of improvisation, trial, and experimentation

This year we will be hosting the second annual Festival of American Music and the concerts will be held in The Kentucky Center this spring. Two of the concerts will be celebrations of the iconic American artists Michael Tilson Thomas and Ben Folds. If you would like to read the full article about the festival click here

Teddy Bares All Episode #2

Just last week I released my second live stream of Teddy Bares All. If you have any questions you would like to ask tune in next time we are LIVE with Teddy Bares All. To Watch Teddy Bares All Episode #2 Click Here

WFPK CitySong G.O.A.T.

January 17, 2017 we celebrated the 75th birthday of the Greatest of All Time, Muhammad Ali, and in honor of this milestone I was lucky enough to pay him a tribute with a CitySong on 91.9 WFPK. To honor Ali, I collaborated with 1200Craig Wagner Music, Danny Kiely, and Paul Culligan on the song "G.O.A.T." I would like to thank everyone that helped with this project including the Muhammad Ali Center, WFPK, and all our collaborators. I also want to invite everyone to come out later this spring to the Ali Tribute Concert we are putting together.

I'm honored to have won 21CM POP Person of 2016 person of the year award! In a field with such talent musicians I am honored to accept this award and proud to be counted among some of the most innovative performers in the country. I also want to congratulate The Louisville Leopard Percussionists on all their hard work and winning the over-all POP ICON of 2016, as well as the Pacific Symphony – Music Mixology for being the POP Project of the year. This past year provided us with many great projects, musicians, and opportunities and I look forward for many more in the future!
